Josh and Cait met at Plano Senior High during marching band in the summer of ’09. She was the short spunky girl all the trombones adored and he was the boy with the beautiful eyes. During the fall of ’11, Cait broke her leg and he drove up from Plano to Sherman just take care of her, which rekindled their friendship. They stayed friends and dated other people throughout college, but they always kept in touch over the next few years. They didn’t officially start dating until early 2015, and sparks flew. A little over a year later in June 2016, he took her to the most beautiful glacier in Alaska and pop the question, and, of course, she said, “yes”.
I met Cait and her mom, Becky, at Starbucks and quickly fell in love with these two. They remind me so much of my mom and I and how close we are. I met Josh during the engagement session and he was quiet but you could see how much love he has for Cait. He just beamed every time he looked at her or kissed her.
This past Saturday they were finally married at their Plano church. The ceremony was performed by Cait’s dad which was so special to them. Cait and Josh exchanged vows and sealed it with a kiss and then onto the reception. The reception was lots of fun and everyone was dancing. I think the donut wall was my favorite. I loved the personalized donuts. They both had such a great time and it truly shows in all the images. I loved the ribbon wands that they left to.
I hope you two are enjoying your honeymoon.
