Erika and Corey were married on Sunday at Stone Crest wedding venue in McKinney, Texas. This rustic chic venue is so gorgeous and the venue looked even more amazing after it was all decorated.
Erika and Corey were both pretty calm when I arrived to Stone Crest. The weather was questionable but it ended up being perfect! They were each in their suites with their closest friends hanging out. Erika had the cutest sets of PJ’s for each of the ladies and a stain set for herself. They all looked so cute and were ready to get in their dresses.
Erika looked amazing in her wedding dress. She picked the perfect one. On her bouquet and her sister’s bouquet, they both had pieces from their mom’s wedding dress. I love when details like this are added. Once Erika was ready, it was time for the first look with Corey. Corey was so excited to see his beautiful bride. Once he turned around, she started to tear up and his smile was huge! He loved her dress and thought she looked stunning!
We had such a great time with this group for photos and laughed so much. They certainly made my job easy and fun! We were also able to get all the family photos done prior to the ceremony which is always super helpful. The reception area looked gorgeous with all the candles lit and all the floral pieces.
It was time for the ceremony and Corey’s dad had the pleasure of officiating the ceremony. He even had his own song, “Enter Sandman” to walk down the aisle to which he thought was so funny. The ceremony was full of laughter and a few tears. Corey’s vows were the sweetest yet the funniest. I just love personal vows. They exchanged rings, sealed it with a kiss, then it was time to party!
Erika and Corey took a few more photos but they were able to visit with guests during cocktail hour. It was so nice when they get to enjoy their guests a little extra. They were announced into the reception and we started off with a quick game of Flip Cup; Wedding party vs. their dates. The wedding party didn’t inform their dates of this little challenge but their dates killed it! The wedding party was a little upset because they just knew they would win.
They shared their first dance and then dances with their parents. Then the sun decided to peek out and join us so we went back out for a few more photos. Once we came back in, the dessert bar was being set up as well as a surprise for Corey. They had a cigar roller on the back porch and Corey was stoked. The bride loved surprising her groom with this little secret. It was time for the speeches and they had some great words of wisdom for the couple. BUT….Erika’s sister, Amiee, had the best maid of honor speech ever! I don’t think I’ve laughed so hard at a speech before. Being a realtor, she compared marriage to buying a house and it was all so funny and true!
DJ K-Shot had the dance floor packed ALL NIGHT LONG! This group had the best time on the dance floor and kept it going for the rest of the night. Once the final group dance was over, all the guests made their way outside for a sparkler exit. Corey and Erika shared one final private last dance and then exited through a tunnel of sparklers.
This was such a wonderful wedding to be a part of. I loved everything about the entire day. Congratulations to Corey and Erika!
