Avalon Legacy Ranch Wedding | Julia + Alex

Julia and Alex were married at Avalon Legacy Ranch wedding venue in McKinney, Texas. We had such a great time with these two and their family and friends.

Julia and Alex first met in 2013 in the Mustang Band at Southern Methodist University in Dallas, TX. He was a junior playing the tuba, and she was a freshman playing the alto sax. They soon learned they had several mutual friends as they had gone to the same high school in Plano, TX.

They began to learn they had much in common, including an appreciation of Disney, the Beatles, and jazz music. Soon enough, they formed a connection and had their first date at a Dallas Braum’s in Alex’s Honda while procrastinating on school work.

In September of 2021, they traveled to Iceland on an EF Ultimate Break trip, where Alex snuck a ring into his backpack. During a tour of Iceland’s Golden Circle, he gathered his nerves, got down on one knee, and asked Julia to marry him in front of the Öxarárfoss waterfall.

Julia and Alex incorporated several of their loves into their wedding. She made paper flowers out of Harry Potter books. She also made their cake topper which was the cutest thing. Alex has a love for cars, so each table had a classic car table number.

They chose to do a first look and Alex lost it when he saw Julia for the first time. I love when brides get reactions like this!

Their ceremony was performed by Chris with Love Notes and he never disappoints! His ceremonies are filled with laughter.

The reception was lots of run with DJ Tagman. He had the dance floor packed and all the guests had a great time.

It was the perfect day for these two!
