Victoria and Alex were married last week at the Denton Lodge wedding venue. Their day was magical and perfect in every way! A great ending to 2024 for me.

Their beginning:

Alex and Victoria first met in November 2020 during their sophomore year at Texas A&M University. At the time, Victoria was a Pre-Nursing major, and Alex was studying Construction Science while also being a member of Company D-1 in the Corps of Cadets. Their first encounter took place at the Starbucks on the first floor of Alex’s dorm. Victoria was waiting in line for coffee when Alex noticed her and felt compelled to introduce himself. They chatted briefly, exchanged Snapchats, and the next day, Alex asked Victoria out on a date.

Since it was during the COVID-19 pandemic, their first date was a simple yet memorable one. They picked up food from Raising Cane’s drive-thru and took it back to Victoria’s apartment, where they ate, talked, and watched The Bourne Identity. After that date, Alex asked for Victoria’s phone number so they could stay in touch over the winter break. They spent the break chatting, and Alex made plans to take Victoria out on another date once they returned to College Station.

At the beginning of their junior year, right after Christmas break, Alex asked Victoria to be his girlfriend, marking the start of a new chapter in their relationship. Little did they know, their journey together had only just begun.

In March 2023, during a spring break ski trip to Angel Fire, New Mexico, with Alex’s family, he proposed. On a snowy evening, the couple took a walk to the property behind their Airbnb and found a small tree to stand under. After sharing a kiss, Alex dropped to one knee and asked Victoria to marry him. With tears of joy and a big smile on her face, she happily said “YES!”

Their Wedding Day:

Victoria and Alex’s wedding day was nothing short of magical. For a December wedding, the weather was unexpectedly beautiful that made for a perfect backdrop to their celebration of love.

The ceremony and reception were a stunning reflection of their personalities and the deep connection they share. The bridesmaids wore gorgeous velvet emerald green dresses, adding an elegant and timeless touch to the day. The groomsmen complemented them perfectly with a mix of classic tuxedos and distinguished military dress, a nod to Alex’s service and their shared respect for tradition.

The decor was a sophisticated palette of emerald green, black, gold, and white. Every detail, from the floral arrangements to the table settings, was meticulously designed to create a warm and inviting atmosphere. The shimmering gold accents added just the right amount of glamour, while the emerald green brought a sense of natural richness to the celebration.

Victoria and Alex’s love was evident in every moment of the day. The way they looked at each other—with pure joy and admiration—left no doubt about the depth of their bond. Their love story was beautifully woven into the ceremony, which placed God at the center of their union. Heartfelt vows and a meaningful exchange of rings underscored their commitment not only to each other but also to their faith.

The reception was a joyful celebration filled with laughter, dancing, and heartfelt toasts. Guests enjoyed delicious food and marveled at the stunning cake that carried the wedding’s elegant color scheme. From the first dance to the sparkler send-off, every moment was a testament to the joy and love that surrounded this incredible couple.
