Alexandra and Andrew met through Alex’s brother, Casey. Andrew and Casey were friends growing up. After years of Andrew being around Alex and her family, Andrew finally worked up the nerve to ask Alex out on a date. From the on, Alex and Andrew both knew this was the start of something special. Enduring trips between Dallas and Stillwater, they kept their relationship alive across the distance. Shorty after Alex graduated from OSU, the pair moved in together and found that spending every moment together really was what they wanted.
With love growing and Christmas approaching, Andrew hatched a plan to surprise Alex at the Dallas Arboretum. After a month of secretly sneaking around and preparing, December 23rd arrived and Andrew and Alex headed out for the “12 Night of Christmas” display at the Arboretum. Andrew wandered off the main path to a secluded overlook for a photo opportunity. Andrew took a knee and proposed and she said “YES!”
Alex and Andrew chose The Milestone Mansion in Aubrey as their wedding venue. Alex said the drive up to the venue is breathtaking. The Milestone Mansion makes such an impression as you’re driving up and the entryway immediately blew her away! She loves the elegant feel of the inside, while having tons of nature to provide fun photo ops.
On the wedding day, we were all so glad that it didn’t rain on Friday. We were able to get all the photos outside which is what they wanted. Their first look was perfect! The way they love each other shows in every image. I could have taken photos of the two of them all day. The are so natural in front of the camera and I got so many images of the two of them. They both said they were so glad they did a first look and they felt more relaxed and not so nervous.
Then the bridal party came to meet us and it was full of fun and laughter by that point. This group of ladies and guys had us cracking up! When it was time for the ceremony, all the guests took their seats and Andrew walked his mom to her seat with the biggest smile on his face. When the doors opened and Alex had her mom on one side and her brother on the other, you couldn’t see anything but her huge smile! The ceremony was short and sweet. They both wrote letters to each other and placed them in a box to open on their first anniversary. The minister pronounced them husband and wife and Andrew dipped Alex back for a kiss. After the ceremony, we took more pictures and then it was onto the reception. Alex and Andrew had a magical first dance. The rest of the evening was filled with photo booth fun curtousy of All Access DJ and DJ Ed had the guest all dancing. Alex and Andrew left through sparklers and then the evening was over.
Their wedding party and their families, made this evening so amazing. This couple is so very blessed by all the love and support they have surrounding them. I know they will live a long, happy life together and I am so grateful I was a small part of their beginning!
