The Milestone Aubrey location is the prefect backdrop for weddings. This beautiful white southern mansion, allows couples to make it their own. Jordan and Christopher meet at NYLF in Chicago when they were 16 years old. They dated for 5 years, 6 months and 4 days for a big total of 2015 days by the time they got married. Christopher proposed in front of the castle at Disney World with a teddy bear. How could she not say YES to that proposal??
I met Jordan along with her mom and grandma at one of The Milestone’s Open Houses. I quickly fell in love with this girl’s smile and personality. I finally met Christopher during their engagement session we shot last year at the Dallas Arboretum. They connected so well with each other and made my job easy to photograph them. I loved the outfits they chose and it coordinated well with their wedding colors of red, black and white.
Last Friday, these two made it official! Their wedding day was probably the most calm and easy going day ever! Everyone was on time and we were able to get most of the photos done prior to the ceremony. During their first look, they couldn’t wait to see each other. They also chose to wait and kiss during the ceremony which was an awesome idea. I totally made it hard for them to not kiss but they resisted 🙂 Jordan has a smile bigger than Texas! Her smile alone, lights up the room and I loved watching her the entire day. These two have the best families ever! I loved how supportive they all were. Christopher’s parents just celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary and his grandparents just celebrated their 50th! I love the cute image we got of these 3 couples.
Christopher is a huge Bruins fan so he had several touches added into the details. First off, his shirt! That was so cool and I’ve never seen anything like it. Then, he doesn’t like cake (I wish I didn’t like cake), so he had a huge cookie cake with the Bruins logo. They also had custom bobble heads made for the cookie cake. And lastly, Jordan’s garter had the Bruins logo on it too. Christopher loved that! Since they got engaged in Disney, their toasting flutes were from Disney World. Christopher’s family is Scottish so his mom flew all the way to Scotland to buy a traditional horseshoe that is given to the bride and groom on their wedding day to offer good luck to the couple. Such a fun and unique tradition.
DJ Nate had the dance floor packed and all of the guests had such an amazing time. It was a great wedding to start off my crazy busy wedding season. If every wedding could go just like this, I would be on cloud 9 for sure! Christopher and Jordan, I wish you many years of happiness and I know you will treasure every moment together.
