I met Jen several years ago through a mutual photographer friend. Jen is an amazing newborn and family photographer in Fort Worth and I love her work. Jen has been my second photographer for several weddings over the years and has also become a special friend.

Jen and Ryan were married when they were very young. Jen borrowed a wedding dress and they were married at their church. Needless to say, Jen never got the wedding of her dreams. As their 25th wedding anniversary approached, Jen said that she wanted to finally have her dream wedding. So on February 8, 2020, we made that happen.

Jen is the type of person that puts everyone’s needs above hers. She never asks for anything but is always willing to give. So I wanted to do something special for her and Ryan. I talked with a few vendors, and we were able to come together to make this vow renewal something she didn’t think was possible.

I love The Barn at Paradise Plantation! If you haven’t found a wedding venue yet, go check them out. The options they have for ceremonies are limitless. Jen wanted an indoor ceremony so the weather wasn’t a factor. The room was set up with the curtains drawn and they renewed their vows in front of their family and friends.

Now let’s talk about Ryan. This man is just the most amazing husband and father; and now grandfather. Listening to him talk about his family is one of the sweetest things ever. He sent me over a sneak peek of his vows and as I was reading them in my car, I was in tears. I love that my friend has such a devoted husband. As he read his vows to Jen on this day, there wasn’t a dry eye in the room. We were all in tears. The man should write vows for a living..haha.

After their vow exchange, we flipped the room and transformed the place into a reception. Jen decided to do a grazing table and Board + Brie outdid themselves. Lane is super talented and can create a table that is jaw-dropping. Seriously, check out the photos below. The Barn also has custom built farmhouse tables that really make the room pop. Their LOVE letters were such a great addition to the room as well.

And let’s not forget the CAKES! Barbara is so talented and her cakes taste the best! She made the bride’s cake and then one of Jen’s friends made the groom’s gluten-free cake.

Jen and Ryan were able to have a first dance, a daddy/daughter dance, and they danced with their kids. Jen finally had all the things she missed out on 25 years before.

They were surrounded by lots of family and friends and ended the night with a private last dance and then exited into rows of sparklers.

There is nothing better than seeing the happiness Jen and Ryan had. The dream of a vow renewal was no longer a dream. I cannot wait to see what the next 25 years has in store for you two. I’m blessed to have you both as friends.
