Samantha and Ryan met through mutual friends in Denton, Texas. She went to hang out with friends and Ryan was there. They dated for awhile and then moved to Chicago for Samantha’s new job opportunity. When they came back to Texas for Christmas, Ryan cooked a delicious breakfast spread while they were staying at his parents house. He asked to exchange gifts before everyone woke up and he lead her into the living room and with the lights dimmed, christmas tree lights on, and music playing he said wonderful things when he dropped to one knee and pulled out a beautiful ring. Todd, their dog, started freaking out due to her crying. She said yes and his family popped out and they celebrated for the next week with friends and family!
Samantha had to plan her wedding while in Chicago with the help of her family and friends. I asked her why she chose this venue and her response was “It is a beautiful place with the landscaping and the wooden pews outside for the ceremony. It also just had a lot that was included and was convenient.” I’ve known Samantha since she was in high school and I knew she would love Avalon Legacy Ranch. It was the perfect venue for her personality. She had her friends and family check out the venue and when they all said they loved it, Samantha booked it without even seeing it in person.
Samantha is a very talented graphic designer and lots of the decorations were “DIY” made by her. She designed everything from save the dates and wedding invitations, to all hand painted signs and table center piece prints. Even though she took the “more work” route, it brought a very strong sense of who Ryan and Samantha are together. She put a lot of thought of how she wanted this day to be and it’s definitely in the details. She felt like she was getting her dream wedding, from the atmosphere, to the decorations and, of course, having the man of her dreams standing at the end of the aisle to promise himself to her.
I think she succeeded in all her hard work. These two do not take a bad picture and Tony and I could of photographed them for hours. I’m so blessed to have been a part of her special day. She deserves so much happiness and they way Ryan looks at her is apparent he is crazy in love with her.
Best Wishes you two and I hope you are enjoying Hawaii! 🙂
