How To Rock Your Dallas Boudoir Photos
If the thought of gifting your love with a boudoir session simultaneously intrigues and frightens you, you’re not alone! Being nervous about a sexy pre-wedding photoshoot is completely normal. But a sweet, sexy boudoir session can be a special memory for you and the perfect present for your new spouse.
Here are a few tips for getting through a boudoir session with confidence, and maybe even having a little fun along the way.
First, Be yourself. If you don’t feel comfortable putting on sky-high heels and looking like a sex symbol then don’t! Although embracing your wild side can be fun, maybe your vibe is a little sweeter and sassier, or soft and pretty. You should have fun during this shoot, not feel like you’re trying to be someone you’re not. If you’ve never worn lingerie in your life and don’t really want to start now, opt for a men’s shirt or an oversized sweater.
Don’t make any major beauty changes the day before. If you’ll be getting a tan or waxing, avoid doing it less than 24 hours before your shoot. You want to look natural and pretty, without any discolored spots.
Avoid tight clothing. Wear loose-fitting clothing while you are getting ready to avoid any red marks on your skin from bra straps or leggings.
Drink lots of water. As the day of your shoot approaches, drink as much water as possible, and avoid salt. This will keep your skin looking fresh and glowy.
Don’t panic about posing. I’ve done boudoir photography before, and I’ll help you find flattering poses that feel natural and beautiful. Go ahead and search for some inspiration on Pinterest and practice in front of the mirror, but come in prepared to go with the flow. I’ll guide you along during your session.
Splurge on getting your makeup and hair done. Sometimes all it takes to give you the extra confidence boost you need is great hair and makeup. Consider going in before your session for a blowout to take your style up a notch. Go a little heavier with the eye makeup to make your eyes pop. We always feel so much more confident when our hair and makeup is done.
Most importantly, no matter what, your boudoir session will be a blast. Come in with a positive attitude—we’ll create photos that will give your love ALL of the heart-eye emojis. Trust me!
