Casey and Josh’s wedding day in Aubrey, Texas was nothing short of a real-life fairytale, filled with laughter, love, and the sweetest moments from beginning to end. As their wedding photographer, I had the best time capturing their day and I couldn’t be more honored to tell a piece of their love story.

These two met in college at UNT where their friend group quickly bonded over shared interests like their mutual love for Magic: The Gathering. Though Josh transferred back to Tyler to finish school, fate had other plans. A few years later, he moved back to DFW, reunited with his college crew, and he and Casey quickly discovered a deeper connection. Their first date? An escape room, of course. And when Josh decided to propose, he brought things full circle by popping the question in another escape room! Casey said YES and their next chapter began.

I met them at a venue open house and instantly knew they were my kind of couple. Their chemistry, kindness, and sense of fun made it so easy to work with them. On their wedding day, they kept things traditional but did a heartfelt first touch, sharing a quiet moment holding hands before the ceremony. Since Texas in June is no joke, the couple chose a beautiful indoor wedding in front of a cozy fireplace. Their custom vows were sweet and sincere, and their hand-fasting ceremony added a personal, meaningful touch.

Their smiles radiated all day long, and it was so easy to see how happy they were to finally call each other husband and wife. After the ceremony, we moved into family photos and then straight into the reception where the celebration began. Dinner was delicious, the toasts were heartfelt, and their cake-cutting was full of giggles. One of the highlights was the Grand March, which had everyone up and moving, full of joy and energy. Guests circled the newlyweds with big smiles as Casey and Josh shared their first dance. Parent dances followed, and then the dance floor stayed packed all night.

The evening ended with a private last dance, a quiet, emotional moment just for them before they exited through a tunnel of bubbles and cheers.

This Aubrey, Texas wedding was truly something special, and I feel so lucky to have been part of it. Casey and Josh, thank you for trusting me to capture your day. Your love is joyful, genuine, and inspiring. Here’s to a lifetime of laughter, adventure, and maybe a few more escape rooms!
