Katie and Riley were married on Sunday at Hidden Springs in Aubrey.  Katie said she chose this venue because it was close to home and it has a beautiful outdoor ceremony site surrounded by pretty landscaping and the reception hall is big and beautiful with plenty of room for all their family and friends to dance.

I’m going to date myself, but I took Katie’s high school senior pictures.  I’ve know her since she was about 15 and now she is married.  Katie is such a beautiful person inside and out but seeing her in her wedding dress was a tear-jerker.  She was stunning!  Katie has a heart of gold and Riley is one lucky man to be married to her.  Riley looked handsome in his tux as well.  During their first look, I teared up!  Watching these two is like watching a love story unfold in a movie.  I simply love love!  I couldn’t imagine a better mate for Katie and I know Riley will take great care of her.

The Bride and Groom

Katie and Riley met sophomore year of college at Mary Hardin Baylor.   They started hanging out in a group with all of their friends and that is how they met one another.  They dated for 3 years as they both finished college.  Riley told Katie they were going out to eat with friends at this new restaurant on Lake Belton.   When they got there they were “supposedly at the wrong place”.   An owner of a sail boat offered to take them out on the lake. When they got on the sail boat they had dinner set up on the inside.   They sailed to the middle of Lake Belton and Riley proposed.   After the proposal, they sailed back to the dock where all of their family and close friends were waiting for them.  They had a celebration of their new engagement.
