Marissa and Jordan were married last Friday night at The Lodge Denton and boy was it a fantastic party!
Marissa & Jordan met in May 2020 when Jordan joined a soccer team Marissa was playing on. They would casually talk every now and then. After Marissa and another teammate moved in together and hosted get togethers is when Jordan came around more. It started out as friends and then turned into more. Their first date, Jordan took Marissa to the Dallas Aquarium and then to lunch after. Jordan knew that Marissa loved the ocean and marine life. The date was cut short because Jordan had to go coach his soccer team that afternoon. Over the course of 2021, Jordan and Marissa went on many trips together to both coasts, including Disney World, another mutual love of theirs. After this trip, they knew they were meant for each other.
The proposal took place at the Dallas Arboretum, one of Marissa’s favorite places in Dallas. It was during the 12 days of Christmas celebration. Marissa’s friend of 21 years came as well as other close friends. The group walked through the park and Jordan had a hard time finding the perfect spot due to the lack of lighting and privacy that night. Lauren, Marissa’s friend, pointed out a fountain to take pictures earlier. Towards the end of the night, Jordan and Marissa went over to the fountain Lauren had seen earlier and after taking a couple of pictures, Jordan got down on one knee and proposed. Marissa couldn’t stop laughing and of course said yes.
Marissa and Jordan kept things traditional and he didn’t see her until she was coming down the aisle. He teared up at his beautiful bride. Marissa’s brother officiated the ceremony and it was filled with laughter. Marissa and Jordan could barely wait to kiss each other as they were announced Husband and Wife.
Marissa and Jordan had a choreographed first dance and it did not disappoint! There was even a lift included. They both shared dances with their parents and then it was time for sunset photos. This is my favorite part but with these two, they make it effortless. Marissa just poses without even having to ask and they just naturally do it all.
After a few photos, it was time to party and this group never left the dance floor. They danced all night long. It was such a great night and I’m so glad I was able to capture this day.
We wish you two a lifetime of happiness! Check back Thursday for Marissa’s bridal session hitting the blog. It was the best!
