Emily and Ryan were married at The Ranch Springs wedding venue in Aubrey, Texas last Saturday. They chose The Ranch because of its beautiful outdoor space. It’s always such a pleasure working at any of The Springs Event Venues around DFW.
Emily and Ryan met on a dating app. After a couple weeks of chatting back and forth, they finally went on their first date, and found themselves so lost in conversation and laughter that they closed the restaurant down! As they grew their relationship, they bonded over a mutual love of travel, food, family, and a healthy dose of competition. For those keeping score, Emily usually wins.
When Ryan was ready to propose, he had planned out a small “picnic in the park” for Emily at Auditorium Shores in Austin, just off Lady Bird Lake. They made their way to the top of Doug Sahm Hill, with a gorgeous view of the Austin Skyline. When the photographer made an appearance, Ryan got down on a knee and asked Emily to marry him!
Saturday was beautiful with blue skies and a breeze. Emily and her bridal party had so much fun getting ready. When I first saw Emily’s dress, I was in love! It’s simply gorgeous and looked even better on Emily’s cute figure. Ryan and his guys were up in the grooms room chilling. They were all so laid back and cracking jokes.
Emily and Ryan chose to do a first look after she had one with her dad. They exchanged gifts with each other and got to have a moment together before all the festivities started. After a few photos, the wedding party joined us and they made my job so much fun! I love having personality in photos and they did not disappoint.
When it was time for the ceremony, we all got into place and Ryan was so excited watching everyone walk down the aisle but when he bride started towards him, his smile got even bigger! The ceremony was short and sweet. They exchanged personal vows and rings, and then sealed it with a kiss.
The reception was lots of fun and ended up becoming a dance party with this group. They had to floor full and enjoyed dancing the night away with family and friends. They even broke out karaoke and the bride and groom started it off and then the bridesmaids did a wonderful rendition of “Hold On” by Wilson Phillips. The ended the night with a private last dance and through a tunnel of sparklers. They had the most epic getaway vehicle too. It was a trolley! It was the perfect day for these two.
