I met Becca earlier this year and quickly fell in love with her huge smile and energy. She has got to be one of the sweetest people ever! When I photographed their engagement session, I finally got to meet Pierson. He is so funny and certainly made me laugh and Becca’s gorgeous smile even bigger. They certainly are giddy over each other and it truly shows in their photos.
So you would think it would be cold in December on New Years Eve, but it was one of the most beautiful days! I was so surprised and it made outside photos even more pleasant. Becca and Pierson decided on a first look since their ceremony was after sunset. After Becca got dressed, she was nervous about seeing him for the first time. After Pierson turned around, all her never were gone. She looked absolutely stunning in her amazing dress and Pierson’s jaw dropped! I love first looks and watching the bride and groom alone together. After the first look, we brought out the wedding party and had fun photographing them. We were also able to get all the family photos out of the way. The ceremony space looks beautiful with all the draping and lights Randy Ro did. This was out first time shooting an indoor ceremony at The Springs and we loved the look of it. After Becca’s grandpa married them, we went outside again for some more romantic shots. Chevy and I had so much fun capturing these two just being themselves. They made our job so easy!
The grand entrance into the reception was a success! A quick blessing by the brides aunt and then it was dinner time. I have to say the potatoes were my favorite part. They were amazing and I probably could of ate an entire pan of those! After dinner, Becca and Pierson shared their first dance. Becca’s huge smile lit up the room. Then she got to dance with her daddy and Pierson shared a dance with his mom. DJ Ed started the reception fun off with the Dance Craze which is always a fun time. The bridal party and a few guests were such great sports in participating since they didn’t have a choice :). Becca and Pierson watched as they all danced and it was hysterical! All the guests enjoyed dancing the night away. When it was almost midnight, DJ Ed put the countdown up on the screen. Everyone grabbed a glass of champagne and some NYE props and got in the middle of the dance floor for the countdown. After the countdown, we started the new year off with some Journey followed by Becca and Pierson’s private last dance. Becca and Pierson did their exit through all of the guest with fake snow. It was something I had never seen but really loved!
I hope you two are enjoying your honeymoon in Cabo. So wish you would of taken me with you! 🙂 We wish you both many years of love and happiness. May 2017 be the best year for you two!!
