Lyndsay and Jarret met in a kickboxing class at WTAMU in January of 2016. Jarret was the instructor of the class and Lyndsay was the student. She noticed him immediately, as he was the cute kickboxing instructor. He said he noticed her because her hair was bright blue and he liked her Star Wars leggings. It wasn’t long before he and Lyndsay became pretty good friends and were hanging out together after the kickboxing classes. While they were hanging out she was dropping all kinds of hints that she was into him, and she was not subtle at all. She even told his friends that she was into him and told them to tell him that she wanted him to ask her out. They passed along the message but he still didn’t make a move. Fast forward several months later and Jarret and Lyndsay graduated college on the same day. They had a graduation party with family and friends and as the party was ending he invited her back to his apartment with his friends for drinks and board games. At this point she was very frustrated he still had not asked her out. So, after one or two too many drinks she gathered up the courage and just kissed him. His face was priceless; completely stunned. All he said was “Really?”. He said he had never thought to make the first move because he didn’t believe that someone like her would be into someone like him. Well, over four years later she is proving him wrong by marrying him.
I met Lyndsay last summer and quickly loved her personality and I was so excited when she hired me to photograph her wedding. I met Jarret at the engagement session along with their fur kids. I quickly saw how much love they had for one another and of course their dogs.
Lyndsay and Jarret were married last Thursday at The Springs Event Denton at The Ranch. Lyndsay looked so gorgeous. Her dress was stunning and her SHOES were to die for.
Lyndsay told me she had a prank set up for Jarret on the wedding day. She said a groomsmen was going to wear a dress and that she wasn’t really doing a first look with him but wanted him to think otherwise. Well, it turned out that all four groomsmen had white dresses and had so much fun pranking their buddy. When Jarret turned around, he was laughing so hard at his new “brides”.
Lyndsay and Jarret were married outside in a sweet ceremony. They both wrote their own vows and both of them included a few funny lines. After they sealed the deal with a kiss we started on the photos with the families and wedding party and then it was time for the party to start.
The reception was full of lots of dancing and mingling with all their family and friends. The dance floor was never empty and everyone had such a fun time. They left their reception through a tunnel of sparklers and their perfect day ended.
