They chose The Springs Ranch in Denton as their wedding venue. They were married on Friday and boy was it so nice to finally get out to the house. The last week’s weather was not much fun and way too cold. Some of us were without electricity and water due to the snow storm we got and Dani and Janzen were worried about their wedding plans but everything went just as they hoped it would with the exception of a few guests not being able to come. Dani wanted and outdoor wedding and she didn’t think it was going to happen but the sun came out and they were able to make it happen.
Daniela and Janzen’s story start out at Chimy’s restaurant in Lubbock. They both decided to go to their favorite restaurant on National Margarita Day (February 22). Dani was with some friends and Janzen was with his friends but he struck up a conversation with her friends and they ended up chatting some. The following evening, Janzen found out she was again at Chimy’s and he rushed up there to hang out with her but she only had 10 minutes until she had to be at work. Janzen took a chance and asked her to go to breakfast the next morning after she got off work and she agreed. Their 4-hour long breakfast taco date left them both knowing they wanted to see each other again. Janzen headed home to Fort Worth right after their date. Dani soon went traveled to Fort Worth and they went on their second date. While still on the date, Janzen texted his roommate telling him that Dani was going to be the last person he ever dated.
Dani chose to do a first look with her dad and she gave him a tie that had a picture stitched on the back of the two of them when she was little. It was such a sweet moment to witness. Dani and Janzen did a first look as well and then we did a few photos of the two of them and then we brought out the wedding party for some fun photos.
It was time for the ceremony and as Dani was making her entrance, Janzen lost it and started tearing up as his beautiful bride came towards him. My heart was melting watching his reaction even though they did a first look.
After the beautiful ceremony, it was time to party. Their reception was full of dancing and having fun! Janzen and a few of his friends did a shoe shot. This was something I had never seen but beer was poured into a shoe of these guys and they cheers-ed them together and drank right out of their shoes. So gross but they had fun. Then Janzen decided to get out on the dance floor and try and do the splits at one point and ripped his pants. It was so funny but he just rolled with it and made the most of it.
Dani and Janzen are two of the most sweetest people. They were thrown so many curve balls during their planning process and they made the most of it. With the weather being so awful, they didn’t even care if the venue had electricity or heat. She was going to marry her best friend regardless of anything. These two are so perfect for each other and I absolutely loved capturing it all.
