Texas State Fair engagement photos can only happen 6 weeks out of the year. It is one of my favorite spots to take fun and colorful engagement photos. A playful photo session is always fun and unique. Meaghan said she wanted something fun and colorful like the fair, so I was all for it. We picked the last Thursday of the fair thinking it wouldn’t be crowed or hot but we were so wrong. I think it was the hottest day of October. Who would of thought 98 degrees in October was possible, but then again, this is Texas.
We started walking towards Midway to find some games to play. Our first stop was an empty booth with cute barstools and Meaghan and Taylor laughing. Then we headed to the duck pond. The lady that ran the booth was so incredibly sweet and let us use her colorful backdrop of prizes. The State Fair of Texas is not complete without a carousel ride and some cotton candy. I think we all ate too much cotton candy. The ferris wheel is a MUST see but the line was so long that we just took a picture with it in the background. A quick wardrobe change, then onto the bumper cars. There was this little boy that let Meaghan have it. He slammed into her so hard that it caught Meaghan by surprise. Meaghan did get a few hits on Taylor but I think Taylor got more hits on her. On the way back to the car, we stopped at the cute little garden area and got a few pictures of just them. I LOVED her ring, so I had to get a closeup of that. Taylor did a fantastic job on that one. We laughed the entire day. Meaghan’s life will never be dull with Taylor around. They are such a sweet couple and look amazing together. I wish you two many years of happiness and I hope your destination wedding is perfection.
