I met Ally at The Milestone‘s Open House last year. She and I started talking and felt like we’d known each other for years. She and I spent a few hours together talking about her wedding and what she wanted it to be and of course she gushed over Jason. I finally met Jason during their engagement session just after Thanksgiving. Ally and Jason decided they wanted their session in the neighborhood his parents lived in and that he grew up in. The area was simply gorgeous with the pond, fountains, and several other spots. Jason is in the Air Force so his uniform was a must for Ally. He looked so very handsome and this Ally bounces in the kitchen in her red dress and the biggest smile. She looked beautiful and was so excited to take photos with her man. The weather really cooperated with us and the rain held off. The fall colors of the trees around the pond looked so perfect and we even had a small window of sunshine! I love shooting sessions where the couples just are themselves and Ally and Jason did just that.
We went back to the house to change into the next outfit and I was able to meet Jason’s parents and Ally’s mom, Nancey. I am so very blessed I had these few moments to meet and talk to Nancey. She was so excited to see the photos and helping her daughter plan this wedding. She raved over Ally and Jason’s relationship and how proud she was of them and especially Ally. Nancey passed away over the weekend and my heart broke for Ally and her family. This beautiful soul’s life was cut too short. Ally and her family have been in my thoughts and prayers over the last few days, so I am asking everyone else to help me out with this. Ally is very strong and has a great support system but I know loosing her best friend is the hardest thing for her. I know her mom will be watching over her and smiling at her beautiful girl.
