I first met Connor last year when he was planning his proposal. He hired me to capture the moment and Meredith was completely SHOCKED! I love being involved in proposals. We did a mini-engagement session afterwards and I just loved the energy these two had. Fast forward a few months, and Meredith reached out about their wedding plans and asked if I’d go to NOLA for their wedding. I of course said YES! They chose The Riverview Room and it was such a beautiful venue.
Meredith and Connor started their morning off at the hotel getting ready and then took a trolley over to the venue. They chose to do a first look and then it was time for the ceremony on the patio. They acknowledged their parents and grandparents during the ceremony by giving them each a white rose. They exchanged vows and rings and then it was dancing back down the aisle.
The food stations were amazing and then it was time to dance. The guests enjoyed lunch, cocktails, some dancing and of course the cake! When it was time to end the afternoon, the second line parade started. The band came in and lead everyone outside. All the guests enjoyed waving their napkins and dancing. We went down a few streets and danced the entire way over to Pat O’Briens. This parade was such an incredible moment. So many people lined the streets to congratulate the couple and watch the parade.
Meredith and Connor had an amazing group of friends and family come from all over to watch them get married. We all had such a great time! I think every wedding needs to celebrate with a second line parade like they do in NOLA.
