The saying that love will come when you least expect it is exactly how their love story began. They had met each other before at a party and they both worked out at the same gym for almost 2 years, but never talked. One Friday night there Devon was deciding to go to the gym instead of going out with friends and as she was doing bicep curls she looked up and saw Keanan and their eyes met and boom. It was love! They made small talk and did some abs together and then they left the gym. Ther she was waiting to hear from him and he adds her on Instagram that night and slides into her messages.
Life wasn’t easy, just a few short months after that Friday night, Devon had to leave for 6 months to follow her dream to become a Texas State Trooper. Keanan supported that dream and agreed to take the challenge and journey with her. He even agreed to take care of her weeny dog, El Chapo, (who he hated) while she was gone. While he was working at the horse ranch, Devon was 4 hours away in Austin. He was a huge support and every weekend he was waiting for her at home to shower her with hugs and kisses. He even wrote her letters and mailed them to her at the academy. It was a very tough 6 months but he was always there and during this time he fell in love with El Chapo and to this day he loves him more than he loves Devon sometimes. After graduation, he took another leap of faith with her and moved away to a new town she had gotten stationed at as a Trooper. They fell in love even harder at that point. God was really putting all the pieces together for them!
Well it was on her birthday last year, he begged her all day to come out to his family’s ranch for my birthday gift, so she did! He took her outside to the horses and the pond to “show her the new baby horses” and she could immediately tell something was off. He was acting soooo nervous and cute! Finally, he got down on one knee, dropped the ring because El Chapo ran into him, and proposed. And of course it was YES! And then it was wait there’s no horse?!
Devon and Keanan are two of the most fun people to work with. I stayed laughing the entire time I was around them. Devon and Keanan chose Rustic Grace Estates as their wedding venue and it is one of my favorite chapels in the area. I love the floors and the sliding doors in the cute little chapel. The updates they’ve done to the reception area are so impressive. I love all the natural light that fills the space.
The wedding day was a perfect sunny day and everything was well taken care of with Blake Nash in charge. The space was decorated perfectly. Devon got on her dress and then had a first look with her dad. That moment was so emotional. I love watching daddy/daughter moments. Then Devon made her way down the aisle to
During the reception, they played the newlywed game to see how well they agreed which was so funny. Then during the garter toss, Devon handcuffed her husband and he was blindfolded. One of Devon’s friends came in the get
