Springs Lodge Aubrey | Denton Wedding Photographer | Carrie and Brandon

Carrie and Brandon were married this past Monday at The Springs Lodge in Aubrey.  The Lodge, part of The Springs Event Venues, is an amazing venue I never get tired of seeing.  They wanted something simple and easy and I think they achieved their goal and still had such a beautiful wedding day.  

Believe it or not, I met these two about a month ago.  I quickly fell in love with them as a couple and how they were so crazy in love.  I photographed their engagement session a couple of weeks later and their love was even more apparent.  It’s so refreshing when a couple is so incredibly in love that taking photos is so easy since they are always touching, holding hands, looking at each other and of course, kissing.  Their fun and playful personalities really shine through.

The weather could not of been more perfect for an outdoor ceremony.  Carrie opted for a non-traditional bridal gown and she looked so amazing in her short dress.  Carrie walked toward Brandon and he was smiling from ear to ear.  They exchanged vows and sealed it with a kiss.  Carrie is an avid bird watcher so we had to incorporate her binoculars into a few photos.  But she did use them that morning for a little bird watching prior to getting ready.  The reception was filled with their close friends and family and they enjoyed visiting and playing some card and board games together.  

The couple shared their first dance and then it was a dance party with Brandon being the center of it all.  I love their care-free spirits and how much they just smile and enjoy the moments.  They opted for something unique for the cake and it was a giant cookie cake.  I don’t know about you but I LOVE cookie cakes and I think the guests loved having a cookie and some ice cream as opposed to a traditional wedding cake.  

The couple shared a final last dance and exited into the crown of ringing bells and ribbon wands to go onto their honeymoon night.  

It was such a blessing watching these two and seeing their love.  This is how every wedding should be.  Focused on the love and the moments of the day that was just as laid-back as these two are.
