Springs Event Venues Wedding

I LOVE working at Springs Event Venues Wedding venues around the area. The Lodge is my favorite of all their venues. I love the windows, the giant fireplace, the overlook from the back porch, the ceremony site, the stair case, and just the Colorado lodge feel of it all. The staff at the Denton location always makes the couples feel so comfortable too.

Jonathan and Ashley met at Webster University in 2011 while working on the same production. They became friends over movies, game nights, project all-nighters, and Jonathan’s delicious mudslide recipe. After graduating, there were sporadic visits over the years, but they wouldn’t be in the same state again until 2017. Jonathan and Ashley began dating in August of 2017, soon after Jonathan moved to Dallas. Their first date was to the Dallas World Aquarium and then to Lockhart’s Barbecue for dinner. If you can eat messy BBQ together on a first date, you might have found the one! Jonathan proposed on October 23 of 2020, while they were stargazing in Fredericksburg, TX. It was a complete surprise proposal, but no one was surprised when Ashley finally stopped crying enough to say “YES!”.

Ashley and Jonathan’s wedding day was very cold and windy but they made the best of it and still decided on an outdoor ceremony. They chose to keep it traditional and Jonathan saw Ashley for the first time coming down the aisle with her dad. Ashley looked beautiful and had the biggest smile as she walked toward him. Jonathan fought back the tears but wasn’t very successful. They exchanged vows and Jonathan had his taped to a piece of an airplane he is building and read his from there. Ashley’s vows made Jonathan laugh so hard and then she ended it so sweetly. They exchanged rings and then it was Jonathan’s favorite part when he got to kiss his bride.

They made their grand entrance into the reception down the stairs. They shared their first dance and then her dad welcomed everyone. Dinner was served and let me tell you that pizza is the way to go. I love pizza and Urban Crust was outside cooking pizzas in their brick oven and boy were they delicious. After the wonderful meal, Ashley and Johnathan spent time mingling with their guests and then it was dancing time. They had a fun group dancing and we were able to get lots of fun photos. By the end of the night, it was time to share their final last dance and leave through sparklers. It was such a wonderful night and these two had huge smiles all day long!
